About ClinicalPath
ClinicalPath (NurseSim CareMap) is an interactive clinical simulation tool built for nursing students who want to master diagnostic prioritization and care mapping before they ever stand at a real bedside. The app turns realistic patient scenarios into guided practice: students read an SBAR handoff, review the patient chart, interpret arterial blood gases, choose the priority nursing diagnosis from plausible competing options, and then build a focused care plan with measurable outcomes, interventions, and an evaluation step.
Every answer is scored against a model approach by AI, so students see not just a grade but specific feedback on their clinical reasoning — strengths, gaps, and the topic to review next. The Bedside module goes further: students upload their own lecture notes and the app generates a fictional patient built from that exact content, so practice always matches what is being taught in the classroom.
ClinicalPath is designed for nursing students at every stage of their program — first-year students building foundational judgment, second-year students sharpening prioritization under pressure, and final-year students preparing for NCLEX-style decision making. It is also a useful companion for clinical instructors who want structured, self-paced practice between simulation lab days.
The app is built by Kristen Russell, an educator and developer passionate about making clinical reasoning practice accessible, affordable, and grounded in the way nurses actually think. All scenarios are simulated for educational practice only and are not a substitute for institutional protocols or clinical instructor guidance.
